Electricity Distribution Companies in Orissa are looking for following personnel on Contractual Basis for their upcoming System Improvement Projects under CAPEX Programme.

Govt. of Orissa has approved a financial package under CAPEX for NESCO, WESCO & SOUTHCO for improvement of Electricity Distribution Systems. The CAPEX programme shall cover new HVDS systems, construction of new primary Sub-Stations to cater to increased consumer based due to RGGVY Scheme, new 33KV & 11 KV lines, up gradation of Distribution Sub-Stations, Replacement of OH LT line with XLPE AB Cables, replacement of defective meters with CEA Regulation Compliant Meters, Energy Auditing, Replacement of damaged joist polls, up-rating of 11 KV and 33KV line conductors, IT activities etc. The project is scheduled to be spread over 4 to 5 years period.

              Recognizing the massive nature of work, the Board of Directors of Distribution Companies have approved setting up of a Construction Wing for each of the Discoms, for which following posts are required to be filled up on contractual basis.

  1. Maximum age limit in all cases shall be 62 years as on  01-11-2010.
  2.  All the above positions are for project execution sites under NESCO, WESCO &    SOUTHCO.
  3.  The candidate should have experience in construction, planning, supervision of distribution/ transmission  works in Power Sector with strong leadership & team building skills.
  4.  Mere possession of requisite qualification and submission of application does not entitle a candidate for  Selection  and appointment. Management’s decision is final in this regard.
  5.  The appointment shall be purely on contractual basis.
  6.  The Management reserves the right to relax eligibility criteria and short-list candidates for selection process and also reserves the right to fill or not to fill up any of the above positions without assigning any reason whatsoever.
  7.
